The Problem

The bridge and deck area, covering approximately 500m², required a complete upgrade to improve waterproofing, safety, and aesthetics.
The existing surface was worn and potentially slip-prone, posing safety risks for busy pedestrian traffic.
Works had to be carried out without disrupting train operations, with the first train departing at 6am.
The project had a tight overnight window (12am – 6am), leaving very little time for installation and curing.
A hard-wearing, durable finish was essential to withstand constant foot traffic and environmental exposure.
Speed of cure was critical: the coating needed to be fully functional and safe for pedestrians by the morning.

Delivering the Solution

Alltimes Ready to Use - Deck, fast cure coating system was selected to meet the strict time and performance requirements.
The RTU Deck system provided a waterproof, hard-wearing, and slip-resistant finish, ideal for pedestrian safety on a busy bridge.
Works completed by ACS were carefully scheduled and executed overnight, fitting within the 12am – 6am working window.
The fast-curing formulation ensured the deck was fully cured and ready for pedestrian traffic before the first train at 6am.
The result was a durable, aesthetic upgrade that protected the bridge and enhanced pedestrian safety, all completed without disruption to station operations.
