The Problem


      • The existing 300m² kennel roof at Brighton & Hove Dog Racing Track was suffering from ongoing leaks, allowing water ingress that threatened the integrity of the building and the welfare of the kennels below

      • The original mineral felt roof covering was breaking down, showing signs of age-related deterioration that could no longer provide reliable weather protection

      • Any roofing works needed to be carried out with minimal disruption to daily operations, as the kennels remained in use and downtime had to be kept to an absolute minimum

      • Traditional roofing solutions involving strip-out, noise, and long curing times were not suitable for a live animal environment

      • A solution was required that could be applied directly over the existing mineral felt, avoiding the need for costly removal or extensive preparation works

      • Due to the operational constraints, a fast-curing system was essential—one that could be installed quickly and return the roof to full service in the shortest possible time

      • The client needed a long-term, watertight solution that would extend the life of the roof while reducing future maintenance concerns
